Too Many Alternatives

Too Many Alternatives

Whenever I think of a composition
but can’t think of what I saw,
I can’t stop thinking until I think
I am thinking of it again.
I think I think to much.
I think I should make a decision.
But there are so (too) many alternatives.

I feel Wanderlust

I feel Wanderlust

Image 17/20 –  it is a German word. It is made from “wandern”, which means walking and “Lust” desire. For me it means discovering new places. I feel Wanderlust this weekend. Smiles. Reinhold

Stormrider

Developing my personal style

Image 14/20 – Stormrider… this one is pushing my style series to its limits. A black and white integration did not work. Background – no… foreground – no… stormrider – no…so I decided to allow some exceptions in my style. What do you think?

Winter Storm

Develop my personal style

Image 4/20 – An image you might have seen before. I had one shot only. Heavy wind and rain. LEE Filter: ND Grad and Big Stopper. Long exposure: 30 seconds. Used my body and a big umbrella to cover the camera and tripod. Pier was shaking. After this one shot camera and lens and filter were wet. Couldn’t wait to get home to see if I managed to get a decent shot. It fits into my new style. No major adjustments to the image. That’s the reason why I post it again.

If you like to see the other images of my series… there is a new gallery in the sidebar of my blog. I will add each new image on a daily basis.

The way to the sea…

Developing my personal style

A personal style… hard to find… I will go for black and white / monochrome and one selective color. Bronze. I have prepared 20 new or reworked images which will illustrate the new… my new style. You will see one image per day… for the next 20 days. Not sure if it will work out. 🙂 But I am excited to share them with you. Smiles. Reinhold

This is image 1/20.

Lake Views

Zwischenahner Meer – our local lake – a few miles from home. These images cover the autumn / winter season. In spring and summer the pier is packed with boats and tourists. I prefer these two seasons for one simple reason. Sometimes I am the only person watching the sunset or sunrise. They are an exception and not the rule.

Mobile Portfolio

There is nothing like a “printed” image. This is my “printed mobile portfolio”. 15 curated images (max box capacity 30 sheets) printed on Hahnenmühle 285 g (4.0 x 5.9″ / 10 x 15 cm) pearl finish, bright white paper in a metal box, all with my signature and numbered x/100. Printed in my studio with my own printer. It comes handy when people ask me about my portfolio. I take out my portfolio box and show it to them. And guess what. They are not randomly cropped. 🙂

In 2017 I will start producing these boxes with special content: National Park Wadden Sea, Moorlands, Woodlands, Long Exposures, B+W. It is an expensive production process and very time consuming. Not sure what price tag I should use. I will sell them in the Internet but mainly in selected stores nearby. Have a nice weekend. Smiles. Reinhold

Solitude Landscapes

The national park “Wadden Sea” – world heritage and an area where you feel “solitude”. Light, textures, wind, clouds, sand and water… awesome landscape and stunning views. In times like these it’s a place to be alone in the landscape and nature.
