Fintlandsmoor / North Germany
The autumn season is near. The moors are changing their green for a colourful dress. The lakes are waiting for awesome sunsets with fog and mist. I think Boomer will look with eyes wide open when I wake him up in the middle of the night. He is old enough (18 months) to follow me to my photography spots. Now we have to wait for the season to start. All images are archived images of my tours from last year. Hopefully we can beat them as a the new team. Happy days. Reinhold & Boomer
Fintlandsmoor / North Germany / Fuji X100F.
After a few miserable weeks with lots of rain, Boomer and I went out for a longer walk in the moor. We both enjoyed the light and shadows of the late afternoon. Happy days. Reinhold
I captured this image at a pond in the moor. I was fascinated by this little island of beauty.
Thanks for your visit. Happy days.

… if you want to be different.
During my workshops and tours we also touch pano shoots. Obviously not an easy exercise. We often have trees and bushes in our composition and the ground is pretty unstable, often wet and muddy. I have created a series of “5” (tips) cards (also for my own memory) which I carry with me and which I handout to the members of my party. May be they could be useful for you as well. Best printed in 4×6” format using your local printer and stored in your camera bag. Happy days. Reinhold
My christmas / advent calendar is divided into 3 sections:
Day 1-8: mimic the objects in the frame with the day no
Day 9-16: Moorland – images of my new photography concept
Day 17-24: Winter photography
Section 1 is complete. This is the first image of section 2. Hope you enjoy it!
Happy days.

Section 1:
I captured this image beginning of November in one of our local moors in the morning before sunrise when the fog was still in the air. It was difficult to get to this position and to find a suitable position for my tripod. I used my Fuji X-T1 / 18-55 kit zoom / f9 / 1/60 sec and a ND grad (3 stops) filter to balance the brighter sky against the darker foreground. 10 sec timer. Happy days. Reinhold
Sunrise in my local moor. Moorland. Fintlandsmoor. A magic piece of landscape just round the corner. I had two choices. Capture thick fog with minimal light or wait for the light which lightens the fog as well. I like dark and moody images but this time I decided to wait for the light, the colors in the sky.
Happy days and may the light be with you,
Reinhold
I was capturing the path through the moor. Tripod. Camera. Filter. Everything. In my “little world” of photography. When I pressed the shutter two dogs suddenly, without a previous noise, passed by. I nearly had a heart attack. In the end the resulting image made me smile.
Happy days. Reinhold
Slowly but surely the moorland is awakening. You can hear it “breathing” if you walk by. The colors are dominated by red and orange and the white color of the birches fits nicely. Next week the weather forecast shows a lot of sunshine for this area and the moors. Happy days. Reinhold
I woke up late for this theme, but may be you too. So check out the other entries here: Awakening
