Deep in the wetlands

The predator slowly moved forward. He listened to the sounds of the wetlands and smelled possible prey nearby. He had to be careful. There was this old guardian of the moors. He would be able to tame him with spells like „sit“ and „down“. But may be chicken and cheese would still be his reward. So he moved on.

… are you serious? 🐶

Moorland – Dark Moor

After the old wizard passed the Guardian of the Moor and entered the path to the White, Light Moor he returned to the junction and slept there for the night. He looked at the images in his magic cube and was happy about the stolen results.
In the morning when the fog was still covering the landscape he accessed the black, dark moor through another secret path.

Path to Dark Moor

The black dark moor was covered with fog and the silhouettes of the trees, which looked like marching giants and warriors frightens the old wizard. He quickly stole a few images of the scene and returned to his home and a hot cup of tea.

Thank you for your interest and patience.
In my next post I will explain what the “Moorland Photography Concept” is all about.

Happy days. Reinhold

White Trees

Adjustment layer “Black and White” and Preset “Infrared”. The more green and blue colors in your RAW file, the more black and white is created by this little tweak. Turning an old camera into “infrared” would be another (but expensive) option. This turns the bright sunlight hours during daytime into a “productive” time zone for photography.

Solitude Landscapes

The national park “Wadden Sea” – world heritage and an area where you feel “solitude”. Light, textures, wind, clouds, sand and water… awesome landscape and stunning views. In times like these it’s a place to be alone in the landscape and nature.

Thanks to all for your helpful input. My solution – no real “solution”. I am reducing the image size to 800×600 / 600×800 / 800×800, full use of copyright information in the file and my known watermark. And now… we have some work to accomplish… LANDSCAPE PHOTOGRAPHY!  🙂

Wet feet

RSP - Reinhold Staden Photography - Get your feet wet

Sometimes you have to get your feet wet. I was desperate to reach the position for the above composition. There was no trail or route to reach it. Except… walking into the lake. No problem. I was wearing my wellies and walked into the lake. Too eager to reach this position I suddenly felt water making its way into the wellies and I felt my feet getting cold and wet. I was still not at the position I wanted to reach. At that point it was pointless to care any more. I continued walking into the lake. Wellies filled up with water I walked until the water was “above” my knees. Made the shot and walked back. What a feeling and sound to walk. Sitting at a dry spot at the beach I tried to get the water out of my wellies by lifting my legs. May be not the best idea. But finally it was cold and wet only and I continued the shoot. After 30 minutes the sound of walking with wet feet disappeared and the feet felt warm but still wet. When I reached the car I swapped my wellies with my walking shoes. After a short drive home I walked into the shower… to get my feet wet. But this time with hot water. Heaven!
