Image 13/20 – Vanished into Gold… another composition of my “Fiction Series”. If the weather is bad… rain and storm over here… again… I connect my WACOM tablet and start painting in Photoshop. I’d rather be out in the landscape. Maybe tomorrow…
This image is part of my series: Develop my personal style
The first 12 images are already published. If you are interested… please visit my blog to view the other images of my series. Thanks in advance!
Sunday morning – I am cleaning my Fuji X-T1 and Fuji X100. Everything will be ready for the next days – SUNSHINE / CLOUDS / BLUE SKY… Finally. I have made a few test shots. First 2 = Fuji X-T1 / Last 2 = Fuji X100. Passed! Wishing you a nice and creative Sunday. 🙂 Reinhold

… travel through time, this would be my destination. I think I have to live here and now… but I always have the choice to switch off the radio and television, close the MacBook and browser, leave the iPhone at my desk, take my camera and gear and walk out the door into the landscape. Happy shooting and weekend! Reinhold
Something in the root system of the forest floor caught my eyes during one of my photo walks through the woodlands . I was fascinated by the image which I saw. I darkened a few areas of the image to focus on the main “object” I saw. Next time I search for Ripley… 🙂
Sometimes landscape photography has to include urban landscapes. I still miss to shoot architecture. Living in a remote spot in the North of Germany, there are not many tall buildings nearby. Actually NO tall buildings. When I search through my archives I often stumble over an urban / architecture image. So today I have a go. This image was taken a few years ago in Frankfurt. Processed in LR and PS today. A journey back in time…
Watching the news, reading newspapers or listening to the radio can create one reaction only: TEARS IN HEAVEN! I created my composition in Photoshop using an image taken in Hamburg and 2 layers (eye and tears). This image is part of my Fiction Series…wish you a tearless time! But may be that is fiction too!
Today I worked with an image of an old water mill for a few moments. The first step was to develop the digital negative with a few minor adjustments in Lightroom. In step 2 I converted it in Photoshop into B+W. Each section of the image, the waterfall, the wheel, the bridge was processed in separate selections with levels and curves. In total 10. After that I saved it and switched back to LR to print it for my mobile portfolio and to export it for the Internet and future printing.
Do you remember
… the sound of the sewing machine?
… reading the book on the table?
… hearing the music of the old radio?
… the laughter and talks drinking out of these shot glasses?
… the sound of the kettle and smell of Sunday roast?
Time is passing by. So quickly. Enjoy your weekend!
Smiles. Reinhold
