Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof
To me these platforms always felt like DEPARTURE platforms and the central station was a DEPARTURE area.
What about you and your Grand Central Station? What are your feelings when you enter a station?

Shots were taken a few years ago as one of the first shots of a series with my Fuji X100.
In those days I was into black and white street photography.
I like stations too, at least our one, I have not been to many. They evoke the past, I always think of Hercule Poirot and The Orient Express.
In my country they are time machines because they are from the past, just in very few cities they serve (usually touristic routes) and in the rest of the country are for merchandise. I know you would loved it because inside the towns it was an explosion of colors (when I was a kid) because the traditional clothes and the products of bright colors in the old stations from the nineteenth century.
Great noir atmosphere of an industrial creature, thanks Reinhold. Greetings, Francis.
I would love to see the explosions of color in the old stations. Are you planning to post some? Hope that my internal time machine leaves enough time to make this happen. But who knows. Thanks for stopping by Francis. All the best, Reinhold
I’d love to, Reinhold, but that world is almost extinguished. I lived in eighties and part of nineties as a kid without a camera. Although I could draw it 🙂 Tomorrow I’ll search something that evokes what remain of that world, also those were tough times so I’ve no much nostalgia, mostly a desire to don’t lose those memories.
I’m glad to see that the world in Frankfurt doesn’t vanish but continue evolving and growing like an old, because it has a kind of spirit and a kind of life, creature.
